Investasi sekali beli drone DJI M4T seharga Rp 104.361.000 sudah cukup untuk ±200–250 misi (dengan asumsi 8–10 inspeksi/bulan), menekan biaya inspeksi jadi hanya ±Rp 1,5 juta/misi. Bandingkan dengan skylift yang mencapai Rp 1,8–3,5 juta/shift, selama 2 tahun biaya sewa bisa membengkak hingga Rp 345–840 juta. Dengan drone, PLN bukan hanya lebih hemat, tapi juga lebih efisien, aman, dan siap menghadapi kebutuhan inspeksi jangka panjang.

Studi kasus di PLN UIT JBB Gandul memperlihatkan bahwa inspeksi tower SUTET dapat dilakukan lebih cepat, aman, dan akurat tanpa perlu menghentikan operasional. Dengan dukungan zoom optik dan thermal imaging, potensi kerusakan maupun hotspot dapat terdeteksi jelas, sementara software analisis mempermudah identifikasi anomali dan pelaporan. Hasilnya, inspeksi menjadi lebih efisien, minim risiko, dan menghasilkan data yang lebih andal dibanding metode manual.
