Smart 3D Explore for Modeling

Manifold 3 can be integrated with Matrice 4E to enable Smart 3D Explore for modeling. The synergy between the drone’s advanced sensing system and Manifold 3’s high-performance computing resources enables real-time spatial mapping and flight route planning in unknown environments, ensuring safe and efficient automatic exploration. During operation, Manifold 3 generates a rough model in real time and transmits it to the remote controller. Users can then quickly create precise mapping routes that conform to the object’s geometry. With just one field operation, precise measurement and modeling of complex structures can be completed efficiently.

Computing Power Open Platform

Third-party developers can leverage the computing power of Manifold 3 along with the PSDK toolkit to create high-performance, automated solutions that cover the entire workflow from data collection to task execution.

FAQ

Manifold 3’s 100 TOPS computing power consists of 60 TOPS from the GPU and 40 TOPS from the DLA, allowing for parallel algorithm acceleration on both the GPU and DLA.

You can install application packages from the third-party ecosystem, such as software for power grid, river, and pipeline inspections, to enhance efficiency in specific scenarios.
If you are a developer, you can use the PSDK open interface and CUDA computing components provided by Manifold 3 to develop AI applications for drones. You can then apply for mass production review and listing in DJI’s Ecosystem Products Catalogue to promote your application.

The power consumption of Manifold 3 is highly dependent on the nature of the tasks being executed. Under direct sunlight and an ambient temperature of 40° C (104° F), Manifold 3 can achieve a maximum power consumption of up to 33 W. As the ambient temperature rises, the maximum power consumption supported by the system’s thermal design will decrease.

Manifold 3 is compatible with DJI Matrice 400, the DJI Matrice 4 Series, and the DJI Matrice 4D Series drone platforms.

Manifold 3 can be mounted on the underside mounting points and brackets of DJI Matrice 400 and it only supports E1, E2, and E3 ports of the E-Port V2, with E3 being the recommended option.
On the DJI Matrice 4 Series and the DJI Matrice 4D Series drones, it can also be mounted to the top E‑Port.

Manifold 3’s Power Delivery (PD) supports DJI 65W portable charger, DJI 100W desktop charger, as well as Apple 61W and 140W USB-C power adapters.

Manifold 3’s USB-C interface supports the UGREEN CM512 Type-C Dock (without display output), as well as the Anker (A8380) 553 PowerExpand 8-in-1 USB-C Hub (without display output).

Manifold 3 supports USB-C flash drives and portable SSDs, and can also connect USB-A external hard drives via a USB-C OTG cable.

You can install and connect Manifold 3 to the drone platform, and use a USB cable to connect the platform to a computer via the configuration port. After downloading the system firmware package from the official website, you can use DJI Assistant 2 to install or upgrade the system firmware offline.

System firmware upgrade is only supported on the Windows version of DJI Assistant 2; the Mac version is not supported.

You can export data files via the following three options:

  1. Install and connect Manifold 3 to the drone platform. Connect an external USB flash drive or portable SSD to Manifold 3 via its USB-C interface, and then use the DJI Pilot app to choose the relevant application and export your data.
  2. Install and connect Manifold 3 to the drone platform. Connect the drone platform and your computer with a USB-C cable. Open DJI Assistant 2 to automatically mount Manifold 3’s system file directory, then use Windows Explorer to select and copy the data you want to export.
  3. Install and connect Manifold 3 to the drone platform. Use third-party applications to export data, such as downloading playback from the Pilot media library or transferring data to a specified cloud platform. Follow the third-party application’s instructions for detailed export methods.

If you are a developer, in addition to the three aforementioned means, you can also transfer data during the development and debugging phase through SSH or SFTP protocol channels.
