These drones use the same cameras as the Matrice 4 Series with improved flight performance. Matrice 4D Series can also be paired with DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise for separate use.

Low-Noise and Anti-Ice Propellers

Equipped with an anti-ice and low-noise propeller, the Matrice 4D and 4TD drones can maintain stable flight even in freezing rain. The silent design reduces noise during operation.

Flexible Deployment, Ultra-Long Transmission

DJI Dock 3 can be deployed flexibly. For fixed deployment, signal quality can be improved by installing the next-gen D-RTK 3 Relay at a higher location. Deployment can be done from a smartphone with the new DJI Enterprise app.

In addition, the DJI Dock supports vehicle-mounted deployment, making it more efficient during emergency operations and remote inspections.

Fixed-Mounted Deployment

The new D-RTK 3 Relay Fixed Deployment features anti-interference for video transmission and satellite acquisition. Deploy at higher locations to increase the maximum transmission distance up to 25 km.

Near High-Rise Buildings

Deploying the D-RTK 3 Relay on the roof can improve signal quality, allowing the Dock 3 to be deployed near tall buildings or substation walls.

Near Communication Towers

Deploying D-RTK 3 Relay on nearby communication towers can improve signal quality during Dock 3 operations, ensuring safe take off and landing even in environments with interference from communication towers.

Mobile Vehicle-Mounted Deployment

DJI Dock 3 supports mobile vehicle-mounted deployment. The Dock’s overall structure, components, and air cooler have undergone vehicle vibration testing, with horizontal calibration and cloud-based dock location calibration features. Mobile deployment provides a convenient solution for temporary scenarios, such as emergency operations or remote inspections.

High-Performance Drones

The DJI Matrice 4D and 4TD are water and dust resistant, have longer flight times, and can be paired with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise for separate use. Both drones are equipped with a wide-angle camera, medium tele camera, tele camera, and laser rangefinder.

The Matrice 4D is highly effective for high-precision professional mapping and detailed inspections. Matrice 4TD is equipped with a thermal camera and NIR auxiliary light for various applications such as security, inspection, and fire monitoring.

When the battery is fully charged, the Matrice 4D/4TD can fly for 47 minutes at 15 m/s and can operate for 18 minutes within a 10km radius. Both drone models are dust- and water-resistant with an IP55 rating.

Obstacle Sensing for Safe Operation

The Obstacle Sensing Module for Matrice 4D/4TD combines rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar technology for precise avoidance of 12mm wire-level obstacles at speeds up to 15 m/s in complex power line intersections, as well as improved positioning in low-light conditions, ensuring operational safety for various power distribution network environments and complex substation layouts.

Excels in Low-Light Environments

Matrice 4D Series drones are equipped with 4 high-resolution low-light fisheye lenses, enhancing visual low-light positioning and sensor capabilities for obstacle avoidance.

The new Night Scene mode provides full-color night vision. Matrice 4TD features an additional IR-Cut Filter for black & white night vision and 24/7 operation, as well as NIR auxiliary light with a distance of up to 100m. The Matrice 4TD thermal camera supports UHR Infrared Image mode with image resolution up to 1280×1024 and High-Res mode for detailed temperature readings.

Clear Vision and Stable Images

Matrice 4D Series drones are equipped with medium tele and tele cameras with foreground stabilization that can take clear pictures with a zoom of 10x or higher. The medium tele camera is effective for medium-range inspections, detecting pins and cracks from 10 meters away, and clearly reading data instruments at substations.

The 48 MP telephoto camera captures detailed images from up to 250 m away. When using the Matrice 4TD telephoto camera when the drone is flying in a windless environment, the gimbal can be tilted 80° upwards, making the defects of the underside of the bridge clearly visible.

High-Precision Surveying

Matrice 4D Series drones are ideal for high-precision mapping, with 5-direction oblique photography, 3-direction orthophoto photography, and real-time terrain following for various mapping needs.

DJI FlightHub 2 has been enhanced for Matrice 4D/4TD operations with various flight route planning options, including Smart 3D Capture routes, slope routes, and geometric routes.

Seamless Airborne Relay for Mountainous Terrains

The Matrice 4D Series can operate with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise remote controller for separate use and features an onboard relay function. With this setup, one drone can fly high as a relay, allowing other drones to operate at longer distances and ensuring smooth video transmission without 4G signal or in obstructed conditions. Ideal for SAR and inspection missions in mountainous areas.
